Movie Review: The Heartbreak Kid

I've seen reviews of this movie, referring to it as Ben Stiller's funniest movie yet and other such superlative statements. They're lying. Big time. This movie doesn't come close to being as funny as 'Meet the Fockers'. And as you all know, that one wasn't nearly as funny as 'Meet the Parents'. Storyline... Eddie (Stiller) is single more than not, and when he isn't single he seems to work extra hard to find something wrong with the woman he's dating. So, Eddie meets Lila (Akerman), falls in love and through a set of plot situations gets married earlier than he ever figured he would. So they head to Cabo for their honeymoon and Eddie finds out Lila isn't who he thought she was. Some things irritate, others just freak him out. After more plot situations Lila becomes sunburned from head to toe and ends up spending several days in their hotel room. While Lila "heals" Eddie meets someone else. Through more storyline, whi

Sciatica *AND* a Herniated Disc...

Okay, so the sciatica is being caused by a herniated disc. This was initially described to me as a "bulging disc which has extruded". "Extruded"... Think of a tube of toothpaste and a heavy-handed squeeze. That's what happened to my disc. My vertebra have squeezed down on my disc so hard that they've squirted some amount of the disc matter out of the disk. All of this has, in turn, put pressure on the nerve bundle. At this point in the back I'm not so sure it's the spinal cord any more. I think the spinal cord (proper) has stopped a couple vertebra up and this is just a nerve bundle now. There are 4 (or is it 5) nerve bundles which merge to form the sciatic nerve, which runs down your buttock, just to the "outside" of bone on your butt which you sit on. Then it runs down the back (more toward the outside) of your leg. It rotates around to the outside of your knee and down the side of your lower leg, right to your outside ankle bon

Sciatica Sucks!

Vicodin just isn't taking an edge off the pain I'm experiencing. I can only lay down and recline (bean bag chair) and have minimal pain. Standing, walking, sitting are all quite painful. Had an MRI of my lumber Wednesday morning (2:00am). My doctor won't see the images till Friday at the earliest. Hopefully they'll have some sort of answer(s) for me. Hopefully.
